Our Tauranga-based factory is where the magic happens, and thanks to our can-do attitude and speedy custom box service, we’ve built up a loyal customer base all across New Zealand. From a small idea to a box of success, we've been at the cutting edge of cardboard packaging - and we’ve got the story to prove it!

Our journey began with a gap in the cardboard packaging industry that needed filling - and so, Custom Cartons was built right here in New Zealand to offer the custom cardboard solutions that were missing. Keeping it local is important to us - for obvious reasons! We design, manufacture, and print boxes made to your exact specifications, ensuring you get the perfect fit every time. Behind every box that leaves our factory is a team of passionate, experienced machine operators, led by the dynamic duo, Allan and Wendy. Allan, our design guru (yes, he’s a box pro now), is always happy to chat about your specific requirements and help bring your ideas to life. Wendy, alongside her right-hand office assistant, Sandra, keeps the orders flowing, customers smiling, and ensures everything runs smoothly in the factory. Sandra is the secret ingredient, making sure everything stays organised and on track while maintaining a friendly, welcoming vibe.

Allan and Wendy’s box-tastic journey has seen them wear many hats over nearly 40 years of self-employment. From running video stores (remember those?) to Four Square and even a bookstore, they’ve done it all. More recently, they spent 11 years on the Gold Coast running Management Rights Apartment buildings in the accommodation industry. But the call of beautiful New Zealand was too strong, and they decided to return home to take the reins at Custom Cartons.

Now, they’re loving the challenge of fulfilling all sorts of unique, boxy requests. No two days are the same, and that’s just how they like it. After all, who doesn’t love a good box of surprises?
